26 May Rito wins 2nd prize at the UPF Rin4 competition!

Our PhD student, Ritobrata Ghose (Rito) submitted his video to the Rin4 competition organised by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). The objective? Summarize your thesis research in 4 minutes as simply as possible to communicate it to a general audience.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the semi-finals were not held live, and a voting-based shortlist were made for the 10 finalists. You can learn more about the finalists here.
On 25th May, 2021, as one of the finalists, Rito presented his work on Metastatic Robustness in Pancreatic Cancer at the live-streamed finals of the Rin4 competition held at UPF, Ciutadella campus. His unusual introductory analogy of dining at fancy restaurants definitely caught the audience’s attention. Amidst an array of excellent presentations, he was awarded the 2nd Prize!
